Cargo vans are, in most cases, smaller than trucks but take on the general form factor of SUVs. They are used a lot of the time for transporting a large volume of cargo objects, though they are rather versatile and can be used for several other purposes.

Passenger vans (or multiple-person vehicles) are generally taller estate cars. More for personal use, they can seat seven or eight total passengers, though some minivans have comparable cargo capabilities to smaller commercial vans when passenger seats are folded or removed.

Because each type of van shares common attributes, they will be categorized together.
